He is now editor of investigations at NDR as well as a member of the investigative team of the Süddeutsche Zeitung.

Swedish-born, he has more than 30 years of experience as reporter and editor for newspapers and TVs. In 2006 he won the Gyllene Dynamon, a prize for editors given by FGJ, the Swedish Association of Investigative Journalism. Under his lead, his regional news station won the FGJ award for investigative journalism 5 times and had 10 nominations with 11 reporters. Since 2016 he has been editor and intake for the award winning SVT programme Uppdrag Granskning (Mission Investigate).

She was previously director of the Dutch-Flemish association of investigative journalists, VVOJ (2009-2015), and worked for RTL4 and KRO Reporter.
