The third episode of the documentary series ToxiCity take us to the heart of Europe – Germany and the Czech Republic – where methamphetamine is back big time. It already happened 80 years ago during the Nazi invasion, when Reich officials found out that methamphetamine could fire up the Wermacht troops. This powerful chemical drug has millions of addicts in the U.S., Mexico, the Philippines, China, Thailand, Greece, and also in Central Europe. Today, drug addicted and the Vietnamese mafia smuggle it between Prague and Bavaria. Pablo Trincia and Sacha Biazzo travelled across the Czech-German border, visited the most desolated bohemian ghetto and explored the forgotten Prague’s buildings where addicts spend their lives, a few metres from the tourist-packed streets where meth is sold every night.
