From Immobile to Mobile Journalism

JUNE 24, 2017

11 AM - 1 PM

LANGUAGE: ITALIAN

Palazzo del Turismo, Riccione

Smartphones changed our life by keeping us always connected. More significantly, they changed the way news get created and spread, through the exponentially increasing citizen journalism. ‘Mobile journalism’ (mojo) is a new genre which puts smartphones at the core of the news creation process, providing opportunities for low-cost and multi-platform productions. By doing so, it also makes possible to mix works with different timings, such as newspaper articles and website video updates. The workshop will provide an introduction to mojo and its impact on news production and visual language. It will also highlight the opportunities given by this new genre, which can result useful for every journalist in every field of work.
